Azzurro Italian Coastal Cuisine (now open): Set sail for an unmatched gastronomic adventure
The Orioli Restaurant Group (ORG) is at it again, expanding their restaurant family group: Rooted in their Italian culture and heritage, with three generations working together, the Orioli family is excited to introduce a third concept to their budding portfolio of restaurants. The creators of Via Emilia Italian Kitchen and Avanti Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar bring to you, Azzurro Italian Coastal Cuisine.
The new restaurant takes over the space that was home to Broken Barrel, overlooking Lake Woodlands in Hughes Landing at 1950 Hughes Landing Blvd #1900, The Woodlands, TX.
“This concept is inspired by passion for food, wine and culture of the Italian coastline,” said co-owner Enrique Orioli about the new restaurant, which will offer both indoor and outdoor dining with an intimate private dining space. Beyond the food, there’s so much that makes Azzurro special and unique. And whether you’re sitting outside or inside, the gorgeous views of Lake Woodlands are the icing on the cake. The bright approach and coastal decor of the restaurant allows the cuisine to fully reflect the emphasis of the coastal regions of Italy
As for the cuisine, expect Italian seafood specialties like Octopus Carpaccio and Risotto Di Mare, scratch-made pasta specialties like Mafaldine Braised Beef Cheeks, Truffle Ravioli, and Squid Ink Spaghetti. The Frutti Di Terra section of the menu showcases a fine selection of braised meats, roasted chicken and steaks. On the wine front, there’s a large list that leans old world and classic, with rare Italian wines not easily found.
