About us
We are a family-owned and operated restaurant group passionate about crafting exceptional culinary experiences. Our family of restaurants includes Via Emilia Italian Restaurant in The Woodlands, Texas - with classic Italian dishes served in refined dining rooms with an old world atmosphere, Avanti Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar with locations in Tomball, The Woodlands, and Montgomery (coming soon!) - featuring creative interpretations of modern and regional Italian cuisine in a casual-elegant setting.
Our History, Our family
Our Founder, Domenico Orioli was born and raised in Ravenna, in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna. In 1948 he decided to start a new adventure in Latin America where he met and married his wife Elda Orioli, also originally from Ravenna, Italy.
Driven by their passion for food and culture from Italy, Domenico and Elda, later joined by their son Carlos Orioli, opened a total of eight successful restaurants, serving the same traditional Italian food the family has prepared for generations.
In 1999 the Orioli Restaurant Group opened their first restaurant location in The United States, Via Emilia Italian Restaurant, originally located on Cypress Creek Parkway, where Carlos’ son Enrique Orioli joined the family business. Via Emilia served Houston diners for over 11 years before moving to their current location in The Woodlands, Texas.
In 2019 we developed our second Italian restaurant concept, Avanti Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar - success and expansion soon followed. Now with locations in Tomball, The Woodlands, and Montgomery (coming soon!), Texas.
More than five decades and three generations later, the Orioli Restaurant Group continues to share their passion for food and culture from Italy. We look forward to serving you soon. Buon Appetito!
